The latest Sotomo Survey on behalf of AXA shows a clear mood picture: Only about a quarter of Swiss men and women plan to buy the nächste vehicle electrically – two years ago it was still a third. Parallel the image of electric cars has dimmed: Only the Hälfte of the Bevölkerung rates e‑cars positively, while range, charging speed and price are named as main criticism points. Industry representatives warn of a missed transport transition and demand from the federal government a denser charging network, fair energy prices and clear framework conditions.
This skepticism stands in a striking contrast to the sales figures: The market share of e‑cars in new vehicle registrations has risen again, the offering is becoming broader and the ranges are as high as never before. However, information deficits and the waning priority of climate protection cause many to doubt whether electric mobility will actually take hold.
Für Sponti-Car is not a reason for resignation, but a mission. Our approach targets exactly where purchase barriers arise: People can use electric mobility without buying a vehicle. We take over charging infrastructure, maintenance and billing – and offer fixed prices as well as transparent costs. With our car sharing and the new Sponti-Bike we make electric mobility tangible and lower the entry barriers for municipalities, companies and residential developments.
The survey shows: Only with appeals to environmental protection can no longer any purchase decisions be won. But those who can try e‑cars in everyday life build trust and change their mobility behavior. Shared mobility is thus an effective lever for the transport transition – less risk, less cost, more sustainability.
