What does dangerous liability mean?
The law regards cars as a more dangerous means of transport. Therefore, the driver is liable in collisions with bicycles in most cases – often 30 to 60 percent or more. This also applies to car-sharing vehicles. Without good insurance, it can become expensive.
Sponti-Car: Liability and comprehensive insurance are already included
With Sponti-Car, all vehicles are equipped with liability and comprehensive insurance covered. According to our terms and conditions, you as a user only pay the deductible of CHF 1’000.– for liability and CHF 1’000.– for comprehensive (maximum CHF 2’000.– per claim).
That means:
- Damage to third parties (e.g., to bicycles or persons) is covered by liability insurance.
- Damage to the Sponti-Car vehicle itself (also in an accident with a bicycle) is covered by comprehensive insurance.

Do you want to drive completely without a deductible? Then simply book the daily insurance for only CHF 9.90. You will find the link directly in the booking confirmation by e‑mail. With this additional insurance the deductible is completely waived – you drive worry‑free.
