In the early morning hours I start full of anticipation with my Sponti-Car towards Kandersteg, ready to explore the picturesque surroundings. The ride takes me to idyllic landscapes, while the clear mountain air invigorates my senses. Effortlessly my electric car accelerates at the hill before Kandersteg from the 4 famous hairpin bends where the Mitholz‑Kandersteg mountain race took place from 1950‑1969. At the lower station of the Lufteilbahn Sunnbuel arrived, I am delighted about the unexpected discovery of my own charging station for my Sponti-Car.
Effortlessly I glide with the gondola up to the mountain station Sunnbüel. From there I start an approximately one‑hour hike to the Alp Splittelmatte amid majestic peaks and to the dreamy Arvenseeli, whose sparkling surface in the morning light offers an enchanting view.
After another 45 minutes of leisurely hiking, I reach the Berghotel Schwarenbach, a charming hotel with rustic flair and warm Atmosphäre. The friendly innkeepers recommend the local specialty, the Schwarenbach Rösti. Während ich die köstliche Rösti geniesse, tausche ich Geschichten mit den Einheimischen aus und erfahre mehr über die bewegte Vergangenheit des Berghotels, das einst als Zollstation diente. The Atmosphäre is cozy and relaxed, and I feel at home.
As a crowning finale, I treat myself to an Emmental meringue that tempts my taste buds. Surrounded by the majestic mountains and warm hospitality, I feel happy and content in this moment, as part of this wonderful natural landscape.
