Even in mobility such cases can occur – for example when someone registers with false information. Sponti-Car also had such a suspected case and has reacted immediately: Today we check every new registration twice – digitally via Stripe Identity and manually by our team.
Thus we ensure that no one can register with a foreign ID or book a vehicle. The protection of our customers is our top priority.
We know: These additional steps mean more effort for us. It would be easier to simply rely on trust. But security is for us not an extra service, but a prerequisite for genuine trust.
The ID check from Stripe verifies official documents such as passports or ID cards in real time and thus protects against identity fraud. The manual control by our team complements this process and ensures that no account becomes active without genuine legitimacy.
Our goal is clear: Sponti-Car should remain the safest car-sharing in Switzerland – transparent, checked and reliable. Because shared mobility only works when all participants feel safe.
