Flums is a charming village in the canton of St. Gallen in eastern Switzerland. It is located at the foot of the Churfirsten and the Alvier mountain range and is especially known for its nature, historic buildings, and relaxed atmosphere.

The nearby Flumserberg is the largest winter sports area in Eastern Switzerland and attracts skiers and snowboarders. In summer the region turns into a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. The Tannenbodenalp and the surrounding mountains offer a multitude of hiking trails with panoramic views of Lake Walen and the surrounding peaks. For families there are child‑friendly hiking paths and numerous picnic spots in nature. In autumn Flums also becomes a popular destination for mushroom pickers and walkers.

The Flums municipality has a long history, that dates back to the Middle Ages. Especially known is the Gräpplang Castle, a medieval fortress above the village, offering insight into the regional history. The ruins are freely accessible and offer a magnificent view. In the village centre one can discover historic Gebäude and old Bauernhäuser, which showcase the traditional Swiss architectural style and shape the townscape.

Flums is easily reachable by car and public transport. From the nearby Sargans there is a direct train connection. Accommodations range from rustic inns and holiday apartments to hotels at Flumserberg.

Flums is therefore an ideal destination for travelers who want to experience nature, sport and culture in a relaxed environment.
