My adventure begins at the Alt St. Johann-Sellamatt mountain railway in Alt St. Johann. The Sponti-Car waits patiently in the parking lot to be recharged with new experiences. The chair/gondola combo lifts me in about 6 minutes from Alt St. Johann (900m) to the Alp Sellamatt (1400m), where I have reserved a hearty brunch für my family and me. After the hearty brunch we set off at the foot of the imposing Churfirsten for an approx. 1.5‑hour walk on the Klangweg . The path leads through various sound stations with a variety of metallic tones and sound patterns. Since the path is sufficiently wide and has no steep inclines, it is also suitable for strollers. At various stations of the Klangweg we were inspired and tried out how the sounds look and feel.
The short legs of the children bravely tackled the path, and finally we reach the Iltios mountain restaurant, which feels like an oasis of coziness in the midst of the wilderness. Over a drink and a game of Jass we sit together and let our gaze wander over the endless beautiful landscape that stretches before us.
Although the Iltios rack railway due to the new construction of the valley station is out of service, we do not get discouraged and find a rustic Möglichkeit, ins Tal zurückzukehren. But before we end our day, we dive into the fascinating world of Klangschmiede in Alt St. Johann in. The wunderschön and lovingly designed Escape-Room is the challenge. We puzzle together on the tricky Rätseln, während time passes like the fog über the mountain peaks. With a Lächeln on the face and unforgettable memories we set off the way home with the Sponti-Car.
